Every Saturday morning, I'll take a quick look at all the week's games, offering my own brief take on what I think will happen, as well as touching on significant injury news since our Weekly came out. I'll check in every so often over the course of the day to answer lineup questions, too.

What follows is a brief look at all the games with how I'd react in my own lineups to injury developments or other news. The official rankings are the ones in the Weekly. Those take precedence. But sometimes players are very close, and in those cases I'm glad to offer opinions on how I'd approach those situations. Sometimes I like certain players more or less than Ian, and sometimes I have different risk tolerance with injuries etc.

Rams at Football Team: Starting Terry McLaurin because he's great and starting Darrell Henderson because I have no other choice. Best to avoid this committee backfield if you can. Antonio Gibson has entered every-week start territory. Kyle Allen starts for Washington, keep expectations in check. Sort of hopeful we'll see Alex Smith at some point in the next few games.

Eagles at Steelers: Eagles send out Miles Sanders in a tough matchup and their usual collection of healthy nobodies at wide receiver. No DeSean Jackson or Alshon Jeffery, which I guess is surprising to those fantasy teams who expected either guy to be reliably healthy. Steelers coming off their COVID bye, it feels like they haven't played for months. I considered Pittsburgh in the Survivor Pool I still have two entries in, but not for very long.

Cardinals at Jets: Made the Cardinals one of those Survivor picks. Following the Jets around seems like a sound business decision. Jets should have LeVeon Bell back, which helps, but will start Joe Flacco at quarterback, which I think hurts. But there should be plenty of short receptions by running backs, tight ends, and the other Jet to start, Jamison Crowder. I'm using Kenyan Drake and hoping the matchup helps him put up strong numbers. Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, too.

Raiders at Kansas City: Raiders defense does nothing well so a good week to consider not only the best Kansas City players but perhaps guys you don't always start, notably Sammy Watkins and to a lesser extent Mecole Hardman on the possibility of big plays at some point. Raiders might get Henry Ruggs back. A nice week to use Josh Jacobs with Kansas City clearly vulnerable to the run. Unlikely Kansas City loses this game so they're another possibility in pools. I don't believe in "saving" good teams -- I just want to advance and have other teams fall by the wayside.

Jaguars at Texans: These teams have played lower-scoring games in recent years, but I'm disregarding that fact since neither defense is any good right now. I'm expecting a higher-scoring game here, and am using running backs, top wideouts and quarterbacks from both teams. Jordan Akins is the one iffy guy from being in the concussion protocol, but I'd use him if I knew for sure he were active.

Bengals at Ravens: Another survivor possibility, although lots of us have already used the Ravens. Bengals defense not so good and I'm optimistic about Baltimore's ground and passing game. The committee backfield is a negative and you just have to hope the running back you start gets in the end zone. For the Bengals, Boyd and Mixon are the players to use, tough matchup or no.

Panthers at Falcons: Not much defense on display here. A week to use all Panthers, including Teddy Bridgewater. With the Falcons seems very unlikely Julio Jones plays, I wouldn't use him. I am using Calvin Ridley, hoping he's recovered from the injuries that factored into him being shut out last week. Mike Davis, Todd Gurley even, thumbs up. If you made the mistake of drafting Ian Thomas, you can even consider him (but most should have better options). Once Julio is officially inactive I'm fine using Olamide Zaccheaus along with Russell Gage, and hoping Matt Ryan, already seeing the season slipping away, has a big game in that weary soul.

Dolphins at 49ers: Current 49ers defense not so tough, so key Dolphins (all three of them) can be used. San Francisco should have Raheem Mostert back, I'm expecting a Mostert-McKinnon committee. Deebo Samuel showed up with an illness but I'm assuming he's good to go, while maybe not playing full snaps this week. Jimmy Garoppolo returns, but I wouldn't want to start him until we see a game under his belt (and probably be more running than passing anyway).

Giants at Cowboys: I made the Cowboys my other Survivor pick and feel only so-so about it. The Giants are real bad, but so is the Dallas defense. How bad? So bad I'm starting Devonta Freeman in a league. New York's defense has actually been better than expected thus far, but their offense has been worse, so call it a wash. Seems like a nice week to use Evan Engram and Darius Slayton, though.

Colts at Browns: So D'Ernest Johnson was the hot waiver pickup this week. Matchup is tough, but at least the Colts won't have Darius Leonard, softening up the middle of that defense. If you have T.Y. Hilton I think this is a week to give him a chance. Probably want to start Odell Beckham off his huge game, but expectations should be ratcheted back. Kareem Hunt looks great, and I'm expecting like 70-30 or more with him versus Johnson. (He should be healthier this week than last.) Might be a lower-scoring game, although saying that has not worked out as often this year as you'd think. But both defenses have value.

Vikings at Seahawks: This should be a higher-scoring one, and it's easy to say that with relative confidence. Start your Seahawks starters and you can consider Kirk Cousins along with the wideouts and obviously Dalvin Cook. Maybe Seattle plays defense at some point or hits a speed bump on offense, but I can't imagine why it would be here.

Broncos at Patriots: This game has been moved to Monday night, so we get our third Monday doubleheader in six weeks. I wonder if the NFL will make this a habit going forward. I don't really know who's going to start at quarterback for either team, so it's difficult to make recommendations in this one. Melvin Gordon, Damien Harris and James White look like the best options, and the main wideouts on both teams (while conceding it might be a lesser quarterback trying to get them the ball). No Noah Fant.

Chargers at Saints: The young gun versus the old man gun. Justin Herbert has been impressive, the New Orleans secondary is banged-up, Chargers defense has also been pretty weak thus far. I'm not going near Michael Thomas but I suppose he might play and might do well, but I fear the Saints keep him off the field most of the time even if he winds up active. Chargers should use a committee at running back, with Joshua Kelley the main guy, but could be a hot-hand situation.

Bills at Titans: This game should be played on Tuesday, a drag for those of us who publish a Weekly on Wednesday morning. Also could leave a lot of fantasy matchups hanging, and I have some leagues that actually run waiver at 8 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday evening -- i.e., when this game is still going on. Personnel wise, A.J. Brown might play, probably will, will want to see those practice reports, if the Titans are actually practicing that is. Bills should use a committee backfield, Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs look good. Just hope the game gets played, because we'll be looking at an NFL Week 18 otherwise.

Enjoy the games.
