A new day dawns, and what there don't appear to be are any COVID outbreaks set to postpone games. Games are on, and here are some of the around the league injury updates.

  • Both Odell Beckham (illness) and Jarvis Landry (hip, rib) are expected to play for the Browns; this is not a surprise. Baker Mayfield (ribs) is also good to go.

  • Leonard Fournette (ankle) is expected to be active for the Bucs, but limited. Last week limited meant he played one snap. Don't use Fournette, and feel better about using Ronald Jones.

  • DJ Chark is expected to play through an ankle injury for the Jaguars, but Adam Schefter says the team wants to see how he does in pregame warmups. So Chark isn't certain to play, and might be limited if he does. Tread carefully with using Chark, and check those inactives.

  • No Noah Fant (ankle) or Melvin Gordon (illness) for the Broncos, but you knew that. Phillip Lindsay starting running back albeit against a good Patriots defense. Broncos could use a variety of players at tight end but shouldn't have a comparable featured guy. If I was desperate to use somebody it'd be Jake Butt, who filled in when Fant first got hurt (Nick Vannett will likely play most but more for his blocking).
