Rams QB Goff out after thumb surgery

Well, that escalated quickly. Los Angeles Rams quarterback JARED GOFF had thumb surgery on Monday for a right thumb fracture and will not play in Sunday’s season finale against the Arizona Cardinals. Goff injured the thumb in Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks, although he popped his dislocated thumb back into place and finished the game. Tests conducted after the game revealed the fracture. With Goff out of action, backup quarterback JOHN WOLFORD will get the start. Wolford has never taken a regular season NFL snap.
