The Dolphins have added an explosive element to their passing game, signing Will Fuller to a one-year contract. When healthy, he’s one of the better deep threats in the league.

Fuller in Houston was plagued by injuries. He was also suspended last year after violating the league’s policy against performance enhancing drugs. That will shelve him for the team’s opener. But when he’s been on the field, Fuller has been a difference-making wide receiver.

Fuller last year averaged 16.6 yards per catch, and he did while also catching 53 of the 75 passes thrown his way. That works out to 11.7 yards, on average, when they threw the ball his way – best in the league among wide receivers with at least 50 targets.

Fuller won’t be a reliable every-week performer, but he could help swing a few games Miami’s way. (That’s contingent, of course, on the Dolphins being able to get him the ball – Tua Tagovailoa didn’t attempt many downfield passes last year.)
