Who was the last NFL player who won an Olympic gold medal? This player was a sprinter. He ran on the 4x100 relay team for the United States, competing in the qualifying heats before Carl Lewis took his place in the finals. (The player won his gold medal before he ever played in the NFL.)

James Jett. Jett won his gold medal in 1992. He played for the Raiders from 1993 to 2002. Jett’s most notable NFL season came in 1997, when he caught 46 passes for 804 yards and 12 TDs. He caught 45 passes for 882 yards and 6 TDs the following year, averaging 19.6 yards per catch.

In the famous Tom Brady "tuck rule" playoff game in the snow after the 2001 season even though the Raiders had Jerry Rice and Tim Brown it was James Jett that scored the only Raiders TD that day
