Every Saturday morning, I'll take a quick look at all the week's games, offering my own brief take on what I think will happen, as well as touching on significant injury news since our Weekly came out. I'll check in every so often over the course of the day to answer lineup questions, too.

What follows is a brief look at all the games with how I'd react in my own lineups to injury developments or other news. The official rankings are the ones in the Weekly. Those take precedence. But sometimes players are very close, and in those cases I'm glad to offer opinions on how I'd approach those situations. Sometimes I like certain players more or less than Ian, and sometimes I have different risk tolerance with injuries etc. If I don't get to your question, either I missed it (it happens) or the rankings are very clear.

Bengals at Jets: Hanging on in my Survivor pool, and considered the Bengals. Not only are the Jets starting Mike White, but they're not going to have Corey Davis, one of two big names to pick up a hip injury in practice this week. How are healthy 20-somethings injuring hips in practice? But Cincinnati offense should be good, and Jets don't have a lot going for them right now. Only worry with Cincinnati a letdown/trap game storyline coming off their convincing win in Baltimore.

Titans at Colts: These are the two actual contenders in the AFC South, and everyone knew this 10 months ago, so it's a little weird that both of their meetings this season happen in the first eight weeks, right? I think the Colts are legit, they're playing good teams tough (despite losing a bunch of close games), and should be competitive. Derrick Henry is the game's best running back, but Jonathan Taylor seems to be in the discussion for the top 5 or 6. No Julio Jones, but T.Y. Hilton should return, and neither defense is scary.

Rams at Texans: I was/am afraid to pick the Rams after they bounced me from last year's pool. But the news that Tyrod Taylor is another week away has me considering the Rams this week. They're loaded with talent and the Texans are not. So DeSean Jackson has been given permission to seek a trade, unhappy with his playing time. Situations like this always befuddle me; what did he think was going to happen signing with a team that already had Kupp, Woods, and a recent 2nd-round pick at the position entrenched? I understand guys wanting to play more, me though I'd want to stick with a Super Bowl contender for the next two months and see what happens. Anyway, Rams players look good.

Steelers at Browns: Browns have everyone back healthy but Kareem Hunt, including Nick Chubb and Baker Mayfield. I feel that maybe a guy with a healing shoulder against T.J. Watt and a still-tough Steelers pass rush is risky, but what do I know. Steelers should try to led Najee Harris lead the way, but Browns should focus on him. Company line is Cleveland is much better and I agree. I'm intrigued by Pat Freiermuth and Diontae Johnson as the guys likely to catch the most passes. For Cleveland, Jarvis Landry sure, I'll pass on Odell Beckham.

Eagles at Lions: Do the Lions get their first win here? Saw a story connecting the Eagles to one of next year's draft's top quarterbacks. Something like that will probably happen, they'll draft one and say "having two good quarterbacks is a good thing" or something similar. For now I like Hurts. No Miles Sanders, but the Eagles will probably use a committee. I'm considering Kenneth Gainwell in PPR, with the idea he'll play the most and catch a bunch of passes, but he's not playing full-time. Usual Lions, which means basically Hockenson and Swift and consider Kalif Raymond, but tread carefully,

49ers at Bears: I'll take Elijah Mitchell, Khalil Herbert and Deebo Samuel, and that's basically where my interest in these teams ends. Nice to see Cole Kmet getting some run, but Chicago passing game is not worth investing in. San Francisco looks like it's headed for a 7-10 type season, Chicago only slightly better. Let the rookie quarterbacks learn on the job; if it doesn't happen this week for San Francisco, it will soon enough.

Panthers at Falcons: Atlanta defense does not have much going for it so guys like DJ Moore and Chuba Hubbard look viable. Similarly, Carolina hasn't looked as good playing more capable offenses, so Kyle Pitts is an easy start (the rest of the way; is he maybe the No. 1 or at least 2 or 3 TE?) and so is Calvin Ridley and Cordarrelle Patterson. Should be some offense in this one.

Dolphins at Bills: Bills also a fine survivor choice. I'm not sure what the point of Brian Flores' commitment to Tua Tagovailoa the rest of the season was. We know he's not going to be benched for Jacoby Brissett, we've seen that story. If somebody higher up than Flores trades for Deshaun Watson, Flores' words will seem pretty empty. Maybe it's a sign that Miami has decided internally not to acquire the guy -- now, anyway. The team is 1-6 so what's the point. Aside from winning games so the pick they've already traded to Philadelphia doesn't look as good. As for this game, give me all the Bills. Mike Gesicki and (this week) Myles Gaskin for Miami, that's it.

Patriots at Chargers: Two mid-week injuries that alarm me: neck, and hip. So I wouldn't be counting on Austin Ekeler, who picked up the latter kind of injury. Maybe it's just a bruise and he'll be fine, I'm sure we'll hear about his status later today or tomorrow, but you need to make backup plans. (And not from the Chargers, since none of the three possibilities has impressed as the No. 2.) Patriots defense solid but I'll take my chances with Herbert, Williams and Allen. Chargers garbage against the run so I'll start Damien Harris over a lot of bigger names. Hunter Henry for receivers, I'm a sucker for the former team angle.

Jaguars at Seahawks: I'm not going to be stunned if the Jaguars win this game. Seattle without Russell Wilson is scary bad. But Jacksonville's defense isn't any good so Alex Collins (who I think is fine) and DK Metcalf look good. Tyler Lockett without Wilson doesn't look usable. I like key Jaguars, almost all of them (which means Robinson, Jones, Shenault and Trevor Lawrence).

Football Team at Broncos: Courtland Sutton looks good, Jerry Jeudy would if active (Tim Patrick otherwise), and Terry McLaurin and Antonio Gibson. I've got Teddy Bridgewater as an option to pick up and use if it doesn't look like Dak Prescott is starting. Washington defense pretty weak and the Taylor Heinicke offense is erratic at best, but at least it's focused on a small number of guys. Ricky Seals-Jones is starting for me as their essential No. 2 receiver.

Buccaneers at Saints: Respect for both defenses. Not like I'd be sitting down key Bucs, but I'm not expecting a high-scoring game. Hilarious blurb implying Alvin Kamara teams should be concerned about Mark Ingram. Right. If I had Kamara I'd like his load lightened a little, and Ingram is about the least threatening guy they could have added. Cut Juwan Johnson this week, which means he'll probably score, but I really need more than 1 catch per game to justify keeping a guy around. Rob Gronkowski set to return, few have better options than a mostly healthy Gronk. Monday was the last time I start a Saints receiver this year. Seriously.

Cowboys at Vikings: Jerry Jones thinks Dak is playing. Jerry Jones doesn't care much about speaking truthfully, so I'm taking it with a grain of salt. Dallas has a commanding lead in the NFC East after just 6 games so holding Dak out a game wouldn't surprise me. If we hear Sunday morning that he will be active I'll use him; if there's any uncertainty I won't. Would be nice to have Kirk Cousins or Daniel Jones so I can take things right up until the inactives are announced before making a decision. More offense than defense in this game, but I'm downgrading all the receivers if it's Cooper Rush.

Giants at Kansas City: Kansas City is healthy and I like their offense for a rebound game from last week's disaster. The Giants will have Daniel Jones, Darius Slayton, Devontae Booker and probably Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram, maybe Kadarius Toney. (But I wouldn't chance Toney; the others I would.) It's tricky with this being Monday; a late setback with say Shepard might leave me with no other options. So the lean is to avoid these players if similarly ranked ones are available. Should be higher scoring.

Enjoy the games.
