Question
Who holds the record for most rushing yards in a Super Bowl game?
Answer
Timmy Smith. Smith ran for 204 yards to help Washington beat Denver 42-10 in Super Bowl XXII. Smith, who played his college football at Texas Tech, ran for only 126 yards in the regular season (his rookie year). He ran for 66 and 72 yards in their other two playoff games that year. Smith played in only one other season for Washington, going for 100 and 107 yards in their first and third games but quickly fell out of favor. He finished the 1988 season with 470 rushing yards.
