Lions rookie WR Williams could be ready earlier than expected

Detroit Lions rookie wide receiver JAMESON WILLIAMS thinks he can return from his torn ACL injury when training camp begins in August. Williams suffered the injury on January 11th and the Lions season opener is scheduled for September 11th, which will be exactly eight months of recovery. ACL repair recovery typically takes 9-12 months, though there are instances where it’s taken less time. A realistic timeframe for Williams to return could be somewhere in September or October.
