If it comes down to field goals on Sunday, the 49ers have to like their chances with Robbie Gould. He’s been remarkably reliable in the playoffs.

Gould in his career has played in 15 postseason games, and he hasn’t missed a kick in any of them. He’s 29 for 29 on field goals, and he’s also hit all 38 of his extra points.

That’s particularly impressive when factoring in that Gould has spent his entire career playing for outdoor teams, facing more weather issues than most at his position. He’s spent most of the his career with the Bears and 49ers but also played in one playoff game for the Giants.

Gould is 40 and has never had a cannon league, but he’s hit on all 4 of his postseason kicks from 50-plus yards, including 3 in the last two years.
