Overcoming a severe ACL injury, Green Bay Packers' pass rusher Rashan Gary has been granted a hefty four-year extension worth $107 million. This new deal not only underscores Gary's pivotal role in the team but also his remarkable comeback in the 2023 NFL season, amassing 5.5 sacks, 6 tackles for loss, and 18 tackles through Week 8.

On Monday, the Green Bay Packers secured a significant extension with pass rusher Rashan Gary. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Gary signed a four-year, $107 million extension to remain with the team.

The extension follows Gary's recovery from a torn ACL suffered less than a year ago. Despite the setback, he recovered in time for Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season and has been showing solid performance on the field. Through Week 8, Gary has recorded a total of 5.5 sacks, 6 tackles for loss, and 18 tackles.

Financially, the extension brings $96 million in new money and Gary is set to make about $10.9 million this season, with the new funds kicking in from the 2024 NFL season through 2028, amounting to $96 million.

Gary, now 25, was initially drafted by the Packers in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He had a slow start, with only four game starts over his first two seasons. Yet, he showcased his potential in his second year, picking up five sacks and 11 quarterback hits in limited playtime.

In 2021, Gary became a full-time starter for the Packers, putting up his best performance with the team by recording 9.5 sacks in 16 games.
