Dallas Cowboys wideout CeeDee Lamb is building a solid case for NFL Offensive Player of the Year after setting his three highest single-game outputs this season. Coming into their 2023 campaign, his career-high was 150 yards, set in Week 10 of the 2022 season against the Green Bay Packers.

But he topped that with 158 yards and two touchdown catches in their 43-20 Week 8 victory versus the Los Angeles Rams this season. However, the former Oklahoma standout isn’t done, as he tallied 191 yards a week later against the Philadelphia Eagles.

In Week 17, Lamb had 13 catches for 227 yards and a touchdown in their victory over the Detroit Lions. He averaged 17.5 yards per catch, his third-highest average this season, including a 92-yard touchdown pass from Dak Prescott.

These numbers make him first among wide receivers in receptions (122) and targets (168). Lamb is first among wideouts in scrimmage yards (1,757) and second after Tyreek Hill in receiving yards (1,651). His 12 touchdowns (including two rushing scores) tie him with Hill for the second-most touchdowns after Mike Evans.

While the Cowboys have clinched a spot in the 2023 NFC playoffs, they can win the NFC East and earn a home game in the Wild Card Round with a Week 18 victory over the Washington Commanders.

CeeDee Lamb will play a massive factor in this game, especially because Washington allows the second-most receiving yards per game (259.3) this season. The Commanders also surrender 30 points per game, the worst rate through Week 17.

If Dallas loses, they’d hope the Philadelphia Eagles will also lose to the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. Otherwise, the Eagles will win the division at 12-5 while the Cowboys drop to 11-6, resulting in a road playoff game against whichever team wins the NFC South.
