Cowboys trade for veteran WR Cooks

The Dallas Cowboys have struck a deal with the Houston Texans to acquire veteran wide receiver BRANDIN COOKS in exchange for draft picks this year and next year. Cooks, 29, isMore a former first-round pick of the New Orleans Saints back in the 2014 NFL Draft. Cooks should help take the pressure off of fellow wide receivers CEEDEE LAMB and MICHAEL GALLUP, while providing quarterback DAK PRESCOTT another weapon on offense. Less

Factoid: CeeDee Lamb

CeeDee Lamb comes off a huge game, catching 11 passes for 150 yards and 2 TDs at Green Bay. The Cowboys are at Minnesota this week, and I think Lamb is poised to keep things going. The Vikings have struggled to cover wide receivers all season.   more »

Cowboys WR Gallup makes long-awaited return

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver MICHAEL GALLUP returned to action in Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders for the first time since suffering a torn ACL in Week #17 last season. DespiteMore catching just two passes for 24 yards, Gallup did score a touchdown in his long-awaited return. Gallup was also able to stretch the field for the Cowboys, allowing fellow wideout CEEDEE LAMB to have a big game as the Cowboys receiving corps begins to round into form. Less

Around the NFL: CeeDee Lamb

Who's in on CeeDee Lamb? With Amari Cooper gone, he's going to be Dallas' No. 1 wideout, and the No. 2, Michael Gallup, is coming off a torn ACL that might limit him early on. But Lamb's early price tag looks a little scary to me.   more »

Washington headed to Dallas

The Dallas Cowboys signed former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JAMES WASHINGTON to a one-year contract, adding both depth and experience to the wide receiver room. Washington was a second-round pick ofMore the Steelers in 2018, although he never had a major impact in Pittsburgh’s offense. With AMARI COOPER off to Cleveland and MICHAEL GALLUP working his way back from an ACL injury, Washington could have some fantasy relevance alongside fellow wideout CEEDEE LAMB to start the upcoming season. Amari Cooper headed to Cleveland

The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to trade veteran wide receiver AMARI COOPER to the Cleveland Browns. The deal is pending a physical and should be finalized by the middle of theMore week. The Browns and fantasy owners will hope that the Cooper trade yields better results than a similar trade to acquire another veteran wideout, ODELL BECKHAM JR. Meanwhile, with Cooper headed to Cleveland, the Cowboys will officially move fellow wideout CEEDEE LAMB into the No. 1 receiver role. Less

Factoid: CeeDee Lamb

CeeDee Lamb wasn’t the most disappointing player of the 2021 season, but he belongs on any list of the many players who fell far short of expectations. In his second season, he was supposed to emerge as a top-10 type receiver, and that simply never happened.   more »

Around the NFL: Cedrick Wilson

I will be interested to see where Cedrick Wilson is selected in the playoff competitions this week. When he’s filled in for Michael Gallup, there hasn’t been much dropoff at that position.  more »

Andy Richardson: Thursday Night Recap

Painful game to watch for those hoping for big numbers out of most players involved. Both defenses have some ability, and both offenses were dealing with injuries/rust/not being very good. When the dust had settled, we were left with a one-sided Cowboys win that didn't deliver nearly as much as it could have.   more »

Cowboys optimistic on WR Lamb

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CEEDEE LAMB appears to be on track to play today against the Las Vegas Raiders as he works his way through the NFL concussion protocol in recordMore time. Lamb is officially listed as questionable on the injury report, but head coach Mike McCarthy is optimistic he will play. Fantasy owners will want to confirm his status prior to gametime and have alternate plans in the event of a setback. Less
