Head coach Mike Vrabel announced Ryan Tannehill as the starter as Levis is unable to play final regular season game against AFC South division leaders, Jacksonville Jaguars.

On Wednesday, head coach Mike Vrabel was quoted, “We’ll evaluate that [Levis' ability to start] through the week, and we’ll see how practice goes, and then we’ll prepare accordingly and make sure that we give everybody the best opportunity to win the football game. We’ll see when he’s healthy as they work through treatment today and practice and treatment through the week.”

Levis injured his left ankle on the final play of the Week 15 game against the Texans and missed Week 16 against the Seahawks, a game Tannehill started.

In nine games played, Levis has thrown for 1,808 yards with eight touchdowns and four interceptions, with a passer rating of 84.2. He’s been sacked 28 times. Tannehill, in his nine games, has thrown for 1,448 yards, two touchdowns, six interceptions and has been sacked 30 times.

The Titans are out of playoff contention and currently sit in last place in the AFC South. They finish their regular season against Jacksonville on Sunday, January 7th.
