That’s a weird game for Will Levis. He finished with a passer rating of 143.8, but the Titans lost their game by 20 points. That doesn’t happen often.   more »

Andy Richardson: Thursday Night Recap

The Steelers are having an interesting season. It's sort of like the Vikings a year ago -- winning a lot of close games, not really looking good in any of them. They did it again last night, making enough plays to sneak by Tennessee, 20-16.   more »

Titans QB Willis locking down backup gig

Tennessee Titans second-year quarterback MALIK WILLIS has reportedly been impressive thus far in the early stages of offseason workouts, likely locking down the backup gig behind veteran starter RYAN TANNEHILL. WhenMore the Titans drafted rookie signal caller WILL LEVIS early in the second round of April’s NFL Draft, the assumption was that he would win the backup job and send Willis further down the bench after a rough rookie season. For now, at least, Willis appears to be holding his own. This will be a situation to watch throughout the remainder of the offseason and into training camp. Less

Kentucky QB Levis slides out of first round

Kentucky quarterback WILL LEVIS was widely expected to be a first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, but the young signal caller was not picked among the 31 selections made onMore Thursday night. Levis had been projected as high as the fourth overall pick to the Indianapolis Colts, who selected Florida quarterback ANTHONY RICHARDSON instead. Factoid: Will Levis

When the NFL Draft kicks off tonight, there's little consensus as to where Kentucky quarterback Will Levis will be selected. One wild rumor circulating this week has him going No. 1 to Carolina. No. 2 to Houston is possible. Another has him slipping out of the top 10 and being drafted by the Patriots. A polarizing prospect.   more »

Minnesota poised to draft Hooker as QB of the future?

Four quarterbacks are widely expected to be drafted in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, including BRYCE YOUNG (Alabama), C.J. STROUD (Ohio State), WILL LEVIS (Kentucky), and ANTHONY RICHARDSONMore (Florida). Young quarterback HENDON HOOKER is another signal-caller whose name is likely to come off the board sooner than later, and the Minnesota Vikings have been linked to him. The Vikings do not have a second-round pick this year, so they may need to draft Hooker in the first round if they think he could eventually take over for veteran KIRK COUSINS. Less

Factoid: C.J. Stroud

With rookie quarterbacks, I like to look at sacks. It provides some information, I think, about how good they are at recognizing pressure (or at least getting the ball out of their hands). And it looks meaningful with this year’s crop of first-round prospects.  more »
