Running back Christian McCaffrey and quarterback Lamar Jackson have been named to the second annual Players’ All-Pro Team by the NFL Players Association. As the name states, the players voted for those on this list.

McCaffrey finished the season with 1,459 rushing yards, 564 receiving yards, and 21 total touchdowns. He had seven games with at least 100 rushing yards and only three games wherein he didn’t have a rushing or a receiving touchdown.

He had a strong case for being the 2023 NFL season’s Most Valuable Player until Jackson became the frontrunner after his spectacular performance against the San Francisco 49ers. The former Louisville standout had 23 completions for 252 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions in their road victory.

He might have cemented his credentials for a second MVP award after torching the Miami Dolphins for 321 yards, five touchdowns, and zero picks. Jackson finished the regular season with 3,678 passing yards, 821 rushing yards, and 29 touchdowns.

Also on the NFLPA Players’ All-Pro Team are Kyle Juszczyk (fullback), CeeDee Lamb and Tyreek Hill (wide receivers), Travis Kelce (tight end), Trent Williams (left tackle), Joel Bitonio and Tyler Smith (left guard), Jason Kelce (center), Zack Martin (right guard), and Lane Johnson (right tackle).

The players chose Myles Garrett and Maxx Crosby as the best edge rushers on defense. Dexter Lawrence got in as nose tackle, while Chris Jones and Aaron Donald are in as interior defensive linemen.

Roquan Smith and Fred Warner were chosen as off-ball linebackers, while DaRon Bland and Pat Surtain II were the cornerbacks. Bland established an NFL record five interception returns for touchdowns this season. Jessie Bates III takes the free safety spot, while Kyle Hamilton is at strong safety.

On special teams, the players chose Keisean Nixon as the best kick returner and Derius Davis as the best punt returner. Brandon Aubrey takes the placekicker spot, while AJ Cole is the best punter.

Here’s a review of the complete list, as tweeted by ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
