Jamal Adams to Visit Ravens

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter shared that the Baltimore Ravens are hosting veteran safety Jamal Adams. The former LSU standout played nine games for the Seattle Seahawks last year. If signed, he will provide depth at the position behind Marcus Williams and All-Pro Kyle Hamilton.

Adams was an All-Pro from 2018 to 2020. While playing for the New York Jets, he was Second Team All-Pro in 2018 and First Team All-Pro in 2019. But at the height of his career, the Jets traded him and a fourth-round selection in the 2022 draft to the Seahawks for Bradley McDougald, first and third-round picks in the 2021 draft, and a 2022 first-rounder.

At first, the trade paid off as Adams became a 2020 Second Team All-Pro member. But since then, injuries have derailed his career. After playing 12 games each in 2020 and 2021, he played ten combined games in 2022 and 2023.

A torn quad tendon in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos ended his 2022 season. The 2023 season was his last for Seattle, as the team released him following the campaign.

The Ravens could be the perfect scenario for Jamal Adams to reboot his career. In addition to strong safety, they might use him as a linebacker if they agree to a contract.
