According to The Athletic's Senior NFL insider, Dianna Russini, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson dropped from 215 to 205 pounds. Playing at a lighter weight could make him shiftier when he takes off with the ball.
The two-time NFL Most Valuable Player has been one of the best mobile quarterbacks in the league. Last season, Jackson had 821 rushing yards and five touchdowns. However, he elevated his passing prowess, setting career-highs in completions (307), completion percentage (67.2), and passing yards (3,678).
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is down to 205 pounds — 25 pounds less than his 2022 weight and lower than last season, when he played at 215, per @DMRussini

However, their campaign ended with a home loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. Jackson will take the lessons from that defeat, hoping to bring the Ravens to their first Super Bowl appearance since 2012.
In chasing that goal, Jackson will get some help from former Offensive Player of the Year Derrick Henry, whom they signed on a two-year, $16 million contract this offseason. Meanwhile, Zay Flowers will lead the receiving unit, which features Nelson Agholor, Rashod Bateman, and tight end Mark Andrews.
But as one of the best teams last season, Jackson and the Ravens will have a challenging 2024 schedule. In addition to their games against AFC North Rivals (Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers), they will face the Chiefs in the season-opener on September 5.
They will also face the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Houston Texans.
