In a press conference during their voluntary minicamp, wide receiver Darius Slayton revealed that the New York Giants added incentives to his current contract. That said, ESPN’s Field Yates tweeted that the Giants increased Slayton’s potential incentives earnings from $1.5 million to $2.15 million.
Slayton is under a two-year, $12 million contract he signed on March 2023. He accepted a pay cut from $2.54 million to $965,000 the year before. The recently adjusted contract led to his first OTA appearance for the Giants. Including his 2024 salary, Slayton has earned $15.6 million in wages, according to Spotrac.
Details on this: Darius Slayton previously had $1.5M available in incentives, he now has $2.15M in incentives available.

The former Auburn standout is among the most consistent Giants receivers over the last five years. Since joining the team as a fifth-round pick in 2019, he surpassed 700 receiving yards in each season except in 2021. Last year, he finished with a career-high 770 yards with four touchdowns.
Through five seasons, Slayton has 220 catches for 3,324 yards and 19 touchdowns. He’s averaging 15.1 yards per catch and started in 53 of the Giants’ 76 regular season games since 2019.
In addition to Slayton, the Giants signed wide receivers Miles Boykin, Isaiah McKenzie, and Allen Robinson to help in the passing game. They’ve infused young talent via Jalin Hyatt and first-round pick Malik Nabers.
