CeeDee Lamb still has no contract extension in place weeks before the Dallas Cowboys training camp. Multiple reports revealed that the First-Team All-Pro wide receiver will hold out from the Cowboys without a new deal. If that scenario happens, he will be subject to heavy fines, but he will deliver a strong message.
However, an NFL insider suggested that Lamb might request a trade if the Cowboys don't satisfy his contract demands. The tweet said that Lamb wants a contract with an annual average of $32 million. Getting a deal structured at that value makes him the second highest-paid wide receiver behind Justin Jefferson (four years, $140 million).

Lamb will play the 2024 season under the fifth-year option of his rookie scale contract, earning him a fully guaranteed $17.9 million. He strengthened his leverage for a lucrative deal after tallying 135 receptions, 1,749 yards, and 12 touchdowns last season. He also became the first player in league history to have at least ten catches and 150 receiving yards in three consecutive games.
In addition to CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys must figure out contract extensions for their other key players. Dak Prescott will be playing the final season of his four-year, $160 million contract, while Micah Parsons is already eligible for an extension after playing three NFL seasons. Meanwhile, Zack Martin's contract will expire after the 2025 season.
