Quandre Diggs Signs One-Year Deal with Titans

Multiple sources, including fellow safety Jamal Adams, confirm that Quandre Diggs signed a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans. This contract reunites Diggs with Adams, who played for the Seattle Seahawks from 2020 to 2023. Diggs’ deal is worth up to $5 million, including a $3 million base salary. The three-time Pro Bowler could earn another $2 million in playing time and performance-based incentives.

The Seahawks released Diggs this offseason, two years after he signed a three-year, $40 million extension. While he never missed a game during his four-year tenure in Seattle, his interceptions dropped from five in 2020 to one last year. However, he had a career-high 95 tackles, including a career-high 32 assists. As of the 2023 season, Diggs has 580 tackles and 24 interceptions in nine NFL seasons.

Diggs’ signing adds to the offseason acquisitions that could bolster the Titans defense. In addition to Diggs and Adams, they also welcomed L’Jarius Sneed, Chidobe Awuzie, Kenneth Murray, and Sebastian Joseph-Day this year. Tennessee also drafted highly-touted defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat in this year’s draft.

Quandre Diggs started his NFL career with the Detroit Lions, which selected him in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. The former Texas standout played the better part of his first five NFL seasons for the NFC North squad before getting traded to the Seahawks. That transaction made him one of the league’s top defensive backs, as proven by his three consecutive Pro Bowl nods from 2020 to 2022.
