TE Mark Andrews Doing Well After Car Accident

The Baltimore Ravens released an official statement regarding tight end Mark Andrews getting involved in a car accident. However, the All-Pro tight end is out of harm’s way and hasn’t incurred any severe injuries.

Andrews included in the statement:

”I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and well wishes. This is a great reminder about the importance of wearing seatbelts and remaining alert while driving a car.”

While Andrews is safe after the car accident, getting in shape will still be his priority after playing only ten games last season due to fibula and ankle injuries. Due to his injuries, the tight end from Oklahoma finished his 2023 campaign with a career-low 544 receiving yards. The Ravens activated him during the AFC Championship Game versus the Kansas City Chiefs, but he finished with only two receptions for 15 yards.

Entering his seventh NFL season, Andrews has played his entire pro football career with the Ravens. He became a First-Team All-Pro member in 2021 after leading all tight ends with 107 catches and 1,361 receiving yards. Andrews also received Pro Bowl nods in 2019 and 2021.

While Isaiah Likely was impressive last season, Andrews remains the top tight end in the Ravens' depth chart. Therefore, he will be one of Lamar Jackson’s top targets, along with Zay Flowers and Derrick Henry.
