Injuries have derailed tight end Jelani Woods’ career. While he played 15 games during his rookie season, he missed two games due to a shoulder injury. The tight end from Oklahoma State and Virginia missed the 2023 season after suffering a hamstring injury.
Unfortunately, his 2024 campaign is off to a terrible start after the team confirmed that he will be out indefinitely due to a turf toe injury that required surgery. With Woods' timeline uncertain, there's a chance he could miss the 2024 season.

With Woods out of action, the other Colts tight ends could have a chance to increase their playing time this year. Kylen Granson had 30 receptions for 368 yards and a touchdown last year, while Mo Alie-Cox had 13 receptions for 161 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Drew Ogletree will enter their third season in the league. He had nine receptions for 147 yards and two touchdowns last year.
