With the 2024 NFL regular season starting in ten days, teams are beginning to finalize their opening-day rosters. Unfortunately for Boston Scott and Mike White, their football journeys won’t continue with the Los Angeles Rams and Miami Dolphins, respectively.
The Rams signed Scott to a one-year contract last May. Before joining Los Angeles’ NFC team, Scott played his first six seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. His best year came in 2020, with 586 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns.
While Scott is free to sign with another NFL team, the Rams will go with Kyren Williams, Blake Corum, Ronnie Rivers, and Zach Evans for their Week 1 running back rotation.
Meanwhile, the Dolphins released quarterback Zach White, who will not finish the two-year contract he signed last year. White played in six games last season and finished with 74 passing yards and a touchdown. As of the 2023 season, White has 196 completions for 2,219 yards, nine touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.

Before playing for the Dolphins, White spent four seasons with the New York Jets. The quarterback from Western Kentucky played his rookie season with the Dallas Cowboys, the team that selected him in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
With White released, Skylar Thompson becomes Tua Tagovailoa’s only backup in Miami’s roster.
