Running back Alvin Kamara has been a productive member of the New Orleans Saints since 2017. In addition to his two Second-Team All-Pro selections, he was the 2017 Offensive Rookie of the Year and a five-time Pro Bowler.
However, the versatile RB’s tenure with the team that selected him 67th overall in the 2017 draft might end after Kamara ended contract talks with the Saints. Kamara signed a five-year, $75 million deal with New Orleans, which expires in 2025.
Could the failed contract talks signify that the Saints are ready to move from Kamara? They do have Kendre Miller, but he is on injured reserve. Jamaal Willams and Jordan Mims could compensate for Kamara’s declining production in recent seasons.

Kamara went from 897 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 2022 to 694 yards and five touchdowns last year. However, he compensates as a reliable pass-catcher with 466 receiving yards and a touchdown last season.
While other running backs would envy his numbers, injuries, and suspensions took a toll on his numbers. However, he’s still talented enough to merit a roster spot with the Saints or with another squad.
