Last season, Joe Flacco helped the Cleveland Browns reach the playoffs after covering for Deshaun Watson. The veteran quarterback led Cleveland to a four-game winning streak that pushed their campaign beyond the regular season. This year, Flacco’s up to his heroics again after leading the Indianapolis Colts to victory.
Flacco filled in for the injured Anthony Richardson as the Colts host one of the then-undefeated teams. However, like he has done in the past, the quarterback from Delaware delivered by completing 16 passes out of 26 attempts for 168 yards and two touchdowns. Those numbers translate to a 105.9 passer rating and a 67 QBR.

Flacco’s fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Drew Ogletree helped the Colts extend their lead to 14, 24-10. The Steelers tried mounting a comeback but came up short on the road. In addition to handing the Steelers their first loss this season, the Colts are back at .500 after splitting their first four games. Their 2-2 mark puts them in second place behind the 3-1 Houston Texans in the AFC South.
With Richardson’s playing status in limbo, Week 4 might not be the last time the Colts have seen Joe Flacco. If Richardson won’t recover in time for Week 5, Flacco will get the starting nod against their division rivals, the Jacksonville Jaguars.
