Eagles TE Dallas Goedert Out For Several Weeks Due To Hamstring Injury

Philadelphia Inquirer’s beat reporter for the Eagles, Jeff McLane, shared that Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert might be out for several weeks due to a hamstring injury. The former South Dakota State standout incurred the injury during the Eagles’ Week 6 game against the Cleveland Browns.

Goedert did not return to that game after suffering that injury. Conversely, the Eagles pulled off a 20-16 victory, improving their record to 3-2 after their bye week.

The veteran tight end was off to a solid start in the 2024 NFL season, tallying 24 receptions for 301 yards. That’s more than half his 2023 total (592), which he accumulated in 14 games. However, this injury would halt Goedert’s ability to improve his numbers and make it more challenging to match his career highs (830 yards, four touchdowns), established in 2021.

Grant Calcaterra will likely step into the starter’s role in Goedert's absence, while Jack Stoll will be his backup. Their fourth tight end, Albert Okwuegbunam Jr., is on injured reserve.
