Titans Trade for Jerome Baker, Draft Picks

The Tennessee Titans have completed a trade with the Seattle Seahawks. Tennessee will get linebacker Jerome Baker and a fourth-round selection, while the Seahawks will receive linebacker Ernest Jones IV.

Baker played his first six seasons with the Miami Dolphins. His best year came in 2020 when he tallied seven sacks, 112 tackles, 11 quarterback hits, and two forced fumbles. He signed with the Seahawks as a free agent, and his stint with the squad lasted five games. He tallied 37 tackles, one sack, one quarterback hit, and a forced fumble.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Rams selected Jones in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. However, the Rams traded him to the Titans for fifth and sixth-round picks in the 2026 draft. He played six games, tallying 44 tackles and two passes defended.

As ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter pointed out in a tweet, Titans general manager Ran Carthon traded two picks for Jones. Then, Carthon traded Jones to Seattle for a 2025 fourth-rounder and Baker. Therefore, Carthon transformed one pick (2026 5th) into two picks (2025 4th, 2026 6th) and Baker.

Jones can start playing for the Seahawks in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills. Meanwhile, Baker can start his tour of duty with the Titans versus the Detroit Lions.
