The Pittsburgh Steelers enjoyed massive success before their bye in the 2024 NFL season. They’ve won six of their first eight games, enough to lead the highly competitive AFC North. While their defense deserves much credit for their positive outcomes, their offense, particularly running back Najee Harris, has done its part.
Harris has elevated his game by tallying at least 100 rushing yards in the last three weeks. He had 14 carries for 106 yards and a touchdown in their Week 6 road game against the Las Vegas Raiders. A Week later, he had 102 yards and a touchdown against the New York Jets. Last week, Harris had 19 carries for 114 rushing yards versus the New York Giants. The Steelers won all three games, improving their record to 6-2.

These performances improved Harris’ numbers to 136 carries for 592 yards and two touchdowns in eight games. The running back from Alabama also has 17 receptions for 152 yards.
Meanwhile, their bye comes at a perfect time, giving Harris and the Steelers a breather before proceeding with the second half of their season. They face a more challenging schedule, including six games against their division rivals (Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland). Pittsburgh will also face the Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles, and Kansas City Chiefs.
