Josh Allen Carries Bills Over Chiefs

The 2024 Week 11 showdown between the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs lived up to the hype as the game went down the wire. However, Bills quarterback Josh Allen ensured they would emerge victorious while handing their rivals the first taste of defeat this season.

Facing fourth-and-two from the Chiefs’ 26-yard line, Allen found the opening to score a rushing touchdown. That play gave Buffalo an eight-point lead, which Tyler Bass extended to nine. However, no game is over for the Chiefs until the final buzzer sounds. The Bills should know this after losing a playoff game despite Kansas City having only 13 seconds to force a tie.

However, the Bills ensured the Chiefs wouldn’t remain undefeated after linebacker Terrel Bernard intercepted Patrick Mahomes’ pass to settle the 30-21 final score. The Bills have defeated the Chiefs for the third consecutive regular season and improved their 2024 record to 9-2, the first time they’ve reached that mark since 1992.

In addition to his rushing touchdown, Allen found Curtis Samuel for a receiving touchdown and helped Khalil Shakir collect 70 yards. James Cook has two rushing touchdowns from only 20 yards. Likewise, Bernard added eight tackles and a sack to his game-sealing pick.

As Buffalo wins their sixth consecutive game, they maintain a five-game lead over second-place Miami Dolphins in the AFC East. While they could solidify their case for their fifth consecutive division title with a Week 12 victory, it won’t be easy because they will face the San Francisco 49ers.
