The injury updates are coming in, and things sounds mostly favorable for today's various questionables. Indications from Schefter and Rapoport et al are that the majority of those guys will in fact be playing today.
From the Giants game, Malik Nabers (groin) is expected to play. He's indicated all along that he'd be playing, so appears he can be used at something close to feeling confident he'll be on the field for his regular workload.
Same game, Mike Evans (hamstring) is expected to play. I am using Evans.
In the Bears-Vikings game, both D'Andre Swift (groin) and Keenan Allen (ankle) are expected to play. We don't have either guy ranked too favorably, with Allen being one of three involved wide receivers in an inconsistent passing game, and Swift facing what's currently the league's top-ranked run defense. But they should be on the field.
Noah Fant (groin, lot of groin injuries today) sounds like a gametime decision for Seattle. I don't think anyone should be counting on him.
I've tried hard to find something on Ladd McConkey (shoulder) for the Chargers tomorrow. Unsuccessful. He's questionable, limited in practice on both Friday and Saturday. If planning or hoping to use McConkey, try to line up another player in the Chargers-Ravens game, although most alternatives are probably rostered: Zay Flowers, Quentin Johnston, Rashod Bateman (who is expected to play) or Will Dissly. Bottom line, McConkey is uncertain to play. I think two limited practices is positive, but there's risk in counting on him.
Adam Thielen (hamstring) "should play" for Carolina. He's facing a good Kansas City defense and his quarterback is Bryce Young and he's probably the 2 or 3, depending how targets are distributed with Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker. But if you need a veteran wideout who at least may lead the team in receiving, Thielen should be healthy enough to be one of those guys.
A down the road report, the 49ers are reportedly optimistic that Brock Purdy (shoulder), though out today, will be able to play at Buffalo in Week 13. Take that one with a grain of salt, with San Francisco sometimes less than forthcoming with accurate injury details, as we saw with Christian McCaffrey at the start of the season ("questionable" to play just days before placed on IR).
Another down the road report, something about the teams most likely to sign Daniel Jones. I do not understand why we're supposed to care. Jones might be the backup quarterback with a playoff team like the Vikings or Ravens. So. What. Neither of those teams is going to win a playoff game with Daniel Jones as their quarterback. Totally understandable that he'd choose to sign for the next 6 weeks with a potential playoff participant than someone playing out the string like the Titans. This is not of great interest to the average fan.
Another story nobody needs to care much about: Aaron Rodgers. He either does or doesn't get along with Woody Johnson and either will or won't be the quarterback next year for the Jets. What can be said for sure is that him coming back will delay a necessary rebuild and limit the GM candidates the Jets uncover. Most likely, he's gone in the offseason.
If I see anything else significant this morning, I'll post i n the comments below.
