The Seattle Seahawks are currently the top team in the NFC West after defeating the Arizona Cardinals in their Week 12 encounter. While both teams have a 6-5 record, the Seahawks are number one in the division because of this victory.
It was a tightly contested match, as only Jaxon Smith-Njigba scored an offensive touchdown. However, the Cardinals were first on the board after Chad Ryland’s field goal conversion.
After this, Seattle responded with 13 unanswered points courtesy of Smith-Njigba’s touchdown catch, Coby Bryant’s 69-yard interception return touchdown, and a Jason Myers extra point.

The two teams traded field goals in the fourth quarter, but Arizona never threatened to overhaul Seattle’s lead. Smith-Njigba led all Seahawks receivers with six catches for 77 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Trey McBride paced the Cardinals with 12 receptions for 133 yards.
In the quarterback battle, Kyler Murray had more completions (24) and passing yards (285) than Geno Smith (22 completions, 254 yards). Both quarterbacks threw an interception, but Arizona could only muster a field goal after Garrett Williams’s pick.
On defense, both teams had five sacks each, but Leonard Williams led all players with 2.5. Ernest Jones IV led the Seahawks with ten tackles, while Dadrion Taylor-Demerson had nine for the Cardinals.
While the Seahawks have the top spot in the NFC West, the other teams are not far behind. Arizona is also at 6-5, while the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers are only one game behind at 5-6. With six games remaining, this scenario could develop into a tight race for the division crown.
