Brothers John and Jim Harbaugh have coached against each other in three NFL games. However, after their 2024 Week 12 Monday Night Football showdown, it has been a one-sided clash as the Baltimore Ravens head coach has won all three matches.
The Ravens earned a 30-23 victory after Justice Hill completed a 51-yard touchdown run. Justin Tucker’s subsequent extra point settled Baltimore’s final score. While Gus Edwards scored a touchdown with 46 seconds left, the Los Angeles Chargers didn’t have enough time to force a tie.

Despite the loss, the Chargers are still in an excellent position to make the playoffs with a 7-4 record. Meanwhile, the Ravens improved to 8-4, keeping them close to the Pittsburgh Steelers for the AFC North lead.
The brothers first coached against each other in the NFL during Thanksgiving Night (Nov. 24) in 2011. Baltimore scored the game’s lone touchdown when Joe Flacco found Dennis Pitta in their 16-6 victory.
They faced each other for the second time in Super Bowl 47 in New Orleans. Despite facing a halftime deficit, John Harbaugh and the Ravens turned the tide to secure the franchise’s second Super Bowl title.
While one brother won at the other’s expense, they remain each other’s number one fan. However, with how their teams play, John and Jim Harbaugh might have another showdown in the postseason.
