Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy got a fresh start when the Denver Broncos traded him to the Cleveland Browns. It’s another opportunity to prove why he was the 15th overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The former Alabama standout put the league on notice against his former team, tallying nine catches for a career-high 235 yards and a touchdown. It’s the second time he surpassed the 100-yard single-game milestone this season and seventh in his NFL career.
Jeudy completed his career game against a defense that ranks ninth in total yards allowed (315.7) and third in points allowed (18) per game. However, his knowledge of the Broncos’ defensive personnel might have helped him gain massive yards.
His longest catch against Denver was a 70-yard touchdown strike that trimmed the deficit to five points, 28-23. After that scoring catch, Jameis Winston found Jeudy again at the end zone for a two-point conversion.
Collecting that many yards elevated Jeudy’s total to 880, tied for fifth with CeeDee Lamb in the individual receiving yards tally. Meanwhile, his 16.3 average yards per catch tops all wideouts with at least 50 receptions.

Securing the victory would have been the cherry on Jeudy’s impressive achievement. However, the Broncos dealt the Browns’ ninth loss in 12 games, 41-32.
