Some critics called for Tua Tagovailoa’s retirement after suffering another concussion. However, since then, he has provided enough proof that he’s still the Miami Dolphins’ best option at quarterback.
As the Dolphins’ official account on X/Twitter reposted from Travis Wingfield, Tagovailoa completed three consecutive games with 300 passing yards. Only he and Pro Football Hall of Famer Dan Marino have achieved that feat in franchise history. Meanwhile, Palm Beach Post’s Joe Schad revealed that Tagovailoa is also the first NFL player to have at least 40 passing attempts, multiple touchdown passes, and zero interceptions in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Tagovailoa’s three-game streak with 300 passing yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions is the longest in franchise history. His streak started on Nov. 24 against the New England Patriots, completing 29 passes for 317 yards and four touchdowns. Four days later, the former Alabama standout had 37 completions for 365 yards and two touchdowns against the Green Bay Packers.
Historic: #Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa is the FIRST player in NFL history to have:

- At least 40 pass attempts
- Multiple touchdown passes
- 0 interceptions
In three consecutive games within a single season.
It's hard to deny he's having an MVP-caliber season.

Finally, Tagovailoa lifted the Dolphins over the New York Jets, completing 33 passes for 331 yards and two touchdowns. Those performances improved his season totals to 240 completions for 2,456 yards and 17 touchdowns.
More importantly, the Dolphins have won four of their last five games, keeping their playoff hopes alive.
