The Atlanta Falcons had high hopes for running back Bijan Robinson, their first-round selection in last year’s draft. After all, he was coming off the University of Texas as a Unanimous All-American and Doak Walker Award winner as the nation’s top RB.
Finally, he produced as expected when he crossed the 1,000-yard mark with three games left in the season. Robinson has 1,102 yards after the Falcons defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 15-9. The second-year player finished that game with 22 carries for 125 yards, his fourth 100-yard game in 2024.
In his rookie season, Robinson finished with 976 yards and four touchdowns. He only had two 100-yard games and had games with three and 11 rushing yards. However, he added 487 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

Robinson is on track to surpass his receiving yards total from last season, as he has 411 yards and a touchdown through Week 15. However, that’s a bonus because the Falcons selected him to bolster their backfield. He’s doing his primary role excellently, as he is on pace to have 1,338 yards when the regular season ends.
More importantly, his continued stellar performances could help the Falcons win the NFC South and earn a playoff ticket. Atlanta is one game behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a postseason berth and a home game during Wild Card Weekend.
