Two points. That’s all the Houston Texans scored during their Christmas Day game against the Baltimore Ravens. Sadly, their offense wasn’t even involved in those points, as Kamari Lassiter tackled Derrick Henry in the end zone for a safety.
The Texans’ offense generated only 211 total yards on 54 plays, resulting in a 3.9 yards-per-play average. Houston earned only ten first downs compared to Baltimore’s 25. The Texans couldn’t convert when it mattered most, failing on their two red zone attempts. Worst yet, the Texans had 58 rushing yards, with Joe Mixon leading the poor effort with 26 yards.

C.J. Stroud struggled, finishing with 17 completions out of 31 attempts for 185 yards and an interception. The second-year quarterback from Ohio State has had six interceptions in his last six games. He had the same number of picks in Houston’s first ten regular season games.
Likewise, Nico Collins led all Texans receivers with 59 yards. However, that’s all they generated as they suffered their seventh loss in 16 games. Luckily, the Texans are guaranteed a home playoff game during the Wild Card Round after clinching the AFC South.
After their regular-season finale against the Tennessee Titans, they will play hosts to the AFC’s fifth seed. However, it’s hard to see them winning that postseason matchup with the same effort they showed against the Ravens.
