The New York Giants defeated the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17 to earn their third victory of the 2024 NFL season. The players needed this result because it was their first win at home this season, snapping a ten-game losing streak.
Drew Lock was impressive in that victory, completing 17 passes out of 23 attempts for 309 yards and four touchdowns. Lock added a rushing touchdown, making him responsible for 30 of the Giants’ 45 points.

While winning gives the players a good feeling, Giants fans would rather have them lose to the Colts. Before that game, the Giants had the NFL’s worst record, which could potentially give them the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
However, the victory dropped them to fourth in the draft order. The New England Patriots have the top spot, followed by the Tennessee Titans and the Cleveland Browns. With one regular season game left for the four teams, the Giants could still finish as the worst team, giving them the best position in the upcoming draft. If they don't, Lock’s outstanding game could do more harm than good for the franchise’s winning aspirations.
