The National Football League continues the game’s expansion through its International Series. As of the 2024 season, some teams have played regular season games in Germany (Munich and Frankfurt), Brazil, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. For 2025, the league will be adding two locations: Spain and Berlin.
The Miami Dolphins will be the home team in the NFL’s first-ever game in Madrid, Spain. While their opponent remains unknown, it’s a great opportunity for the AFC East squad to increase their international audience.

It has been a disappointing season for the Dolphins after finishing with an 8-9 record. While they had a shot at a playoff berth during the final week of the regular season, they dropped out of contention after the Denver Broncos claimed the final spot.
Meanwhile, the Indianapolis Colts will be the home team in the NFL’s first-ever game in Berlin, Germany. Their opponent remains undetermined. Like the Dolphins, the Colts fell short of the playoffs, finishing with an 8-9 record. However, Quenton Nelson and Zaire Franklin became Second-Team All-Pro members. Nelson, Franklin, and Jonathan Taylor are Pro Bowlers.
