Josh Allen solidified his status as the Buffalo Bills’ cornerstone after an impressive 2024 season. They are AFC East champions again after a 13-4 record and handily defeated the Denver Broncos in the Wild Card Round 31-7.
What’s more impressive is that Allen achieved a personal feat while leading the Bills to victory. He became the first NFL player in the last 15 yards to become an All-Pro but without an All-Pro teammate. The Associated Press voted Allen to the Second-Team All-Pro, with Lamar Jackson making it to the First Team. Furthermore, Allen and offensive tackle Dion Dawkins are the only Pro Bowlers from the 2024 Bills.
Allen’s numbers this season make him a top candidate for the NFL Most Valuable Player award. The quarterback from Wyoming finished the regular season with 307 completions for 3,731 yards and 28 touchdowns. He’s also done well in extending possessions, as proven by his 531 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. Allen’s efforts helped the Bills become the first NFL team to have 30 passing and 30 rushing touchdowns in a season.

While those numbers are impressive, what’s important is that the Bills’ Super Bowl hopes are still alive. However, a tough challenge awaits the Bills as they host Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Round. Sportsbooks place the Bills as slight underdogs in this game. But they are never out of contention with Allen under center.
