Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has a solid resume that makes him a top Most Valuable Player and a leading Offensive Player of the Year candidate. He became the ninth NFL player to have 2,000 rushing yards in a season and established franchise records for most rushing yards in a season and a game (255), which is also his career high.
However, with the Eagles still fighting for the Super Bowl, the former Penn State standout can pull off an achievement that no other NFL player has done. The 2024 First-Team All-Pro member can become the first NFL player to have 3,000 yards from scrimmage in a season.

NO ONE HAS EVER DONE THIS.

Before the NFC Championship Game against the Washington Commanders, Barkley has amassed 2,329 rushing and 309 receiving yards (including playoffs). Therefore, he is 362 away from reaching 3,000.
While he has been spectacular all season, accomplishing this feat might be impossible if the Eagles don’t play in Super Bowl LIX. If they did, he must have at least 181 yards from scrimmage per game to be a company of one. If Barkley couldn’t reach that feat, he’s only 124 yards away from tying Terrell Davis’ single-season yards from scrimmage record.
