Saints Interview Eagles OC Kellen Moore for Head Coaching Position

The New Orleans Saints have confirmed that they’ve completed an in-person interview with Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. The interview came after the Eagles dominated the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship Game, clinching their berth in Super Bowl LIX.

Moore has been on the head coaching radar since he became the Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator a year after he joined the Cowboys coaching staff as quarterbacks coach. He filled the OC role for four seasons before taking the same role with the Los Angeles Chargers.

However, Moore lasted only one year in that role before transferring to the Eagles. He has helped the Eagles return to the Super Bowl in his first year, thanks to an offensive system bannered by Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Lane Johnson, Landon Dickerson, and Jordan Mailata.

Moore’s teams went 57-43 during the regular season when he was the offensive coordinator. That’s the winning legacy the Saints would like to have, especially when they haven’t reached the playoffs for the last four seasons.
