The Kansas City Chiefs are hoping to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowl titles. However, standing in their way are the Philadelphia Eagles, a team looking for their second Super Bowl victory. Regardless of the outcome, the Chiefs have already established some NFL firsts.
The Chiefs are the first team in league history to play in five Super Bowls in six years. They lost a Super Bowl to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Likewise, they are the first team to return to a Super Bowl after winning the previous two title games.

After winning Super Bowls VII and VIII, the Miami Dolphins didn’t reach Super Bowl IX. The Buffalo Bills lost four consecutive Super Bowls. Meanwhile, the New England Patriots played in three straight Super Bowls (LI to LIII) but lost Super Bowl LII to the Eagles.
After defeating the Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers, the Chiefs are looking to make more history to strengthen the dynasty.
