There’s much unpredictability going on in the NFL Draft. The board will not fall according to how mock drafts predicted them and there will be surprises along the way. That said, NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero identified five prospects who hear their names within the first 32 picks.
First on the list is former UCLA linebacker Carson Schwesinger, who was a Butkus Award finalist who had 90 solo tackles last season. He can be a three-down linebacker who can thrive in the NFL as an off-ball linebacker.
Next is former Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, who had 205 receptions for 2,868 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns in 50 games. Teams needing a receiver could pick him toward the end of the first round.
Third on the list is Jared Wilson, a redshirt junior from Georgia. The center had impressive numbers during the Scouting Combine, which could bump up his draft stock. Former Ohio State defensive tackle Tyleik Wiliams could also go in Round 1 because of his size, while former Louisville quarterback Tyler Shough could be a dark horse first-rounder. Some NFL experts even predict that Shough and Jaxson Dart will join Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders as QBs taken in the first round.
