Right tackle Ryan Ramczyk announces his retirement after playing seven NFL seasons, all with the New Orleans Saints. The NFC South franchise selected him in the 2017 as part of the draft class which includes Alvin Kamara, Marshon Lattimore, Trey Hendrickson, Marcus Williams, and Alex Anzalone.
Throughout his career, Ramczyk became an All-Pro tackle from 2018 to 2020. However, he hasn’t played since 2023 due to a knee injury. Before that condition, the former Wisconsin standout did not miss a game during his first four NFL seasons.
Ramczyk said in a message he posted on Instagram:
“Today I reflect on all the twists and turns that got me to this point, from technical college to become a “welder” to All-Pro in the NFL. As I step into retirement, I’m filled with gratitude for everything this sport has given me.”
Ramczyk then proceeded to thank his former coaches, his former teams, his wife, his parents, and Saints fans. With his retirement, the Saints might put additional attention to offensive line prospects from the 2025 NFL Draft. Meanwhile, speaking of the draft, Ramczyk will announce one of New Orleans’ draft picks in Green Bay.
