ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that center Cam Jurgens and the Philadelphia Eagles agreed to a four-year, $68 million contract extension. The deal includes $39.4 million in guaranteed money. The contract’s timing is perfect because Jurgens will play the 2025 NFL season under the final year of his rookie-scale contract. Likewise, Jurgens isn’t qualified for a fifth-year option because the Eagles selected him in the second round of the 2021 draft.
Meanwhile, Jurgens’s contract average of $17 million annually makes him the second-highest paid NFL center behind Creed Humphrey ($18 million). Jurgens had massive shoes to fill after All-Pro center Jason Kelce’s retirement. However, the former Nebraska standout showed he was up for the task after earning a Pro Bowl selection last year while missing only one game throughout the season.

More importantly, Jurgens anchored what’s arguably the best offensive line in the NFL. He was integral to the Eagles winning their second Super Bowl title in franchise history after dominating the Kansas City Chiefs.
This contract will keep Cam Jurgens in Philadelphia until the 2029 season. Keeping him and other offensive linemen like Lane Johnson, Landon Dickerson, and Jordan Mailata in the fold makes the Eagles serious Super Bowl contenders.
