Former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders tweeted that he’s ready regardless of his fate in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, his draft spot remains uncertain as several rumors about his destination surface.
There’s a speculation that the Cleveland Browns could select Travis Hunter with the second overall pick and trade up again to get Shedeur Sanders. However, the board didn’t fall that way as the Browns traded the pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars, which selected Travis Hunter. Likewise, the Browns selected defensive tackle Mason Graham with the fifth overall selection.
After these picks, there’s only a few teams that might explore drafting a quarterback. The New Orleans Saints could get one at ninth and the Pittsburgh Steelers could go that way at 21st. Beyond those selections, as CBS Sports’ Aditi Kinkhabwala reported, Sanders might fall out of the first round.
However, a player with his talent will find a way to be successful in the NFL, regardless of his draft spot.
