Dynasty Leagues: Long-term RB rankings

Chris Carson is out for the year, but he and the team sound optimistic that it’s not a career-ending injury. Neck surgeries are worrisome, of course, but this one is apparently different than those that ended the careers of other Seahawks – Kam Chancellor, Cliff Avril.  more »

Seattle head coach Pete Carroll originally said that running back ALEX COLLINS would practice on Thursday, but practice came and went with no sign of the Seahawks running back. Seahawks RB Penny “raring to go”

Seems like we’ve heard that somewhere before. Anyhow, Seattle head coach Pete Carroll said this week that running back RASHAAD PENNY should be returning to action from injured reserve and thatMore the oft injured rusher is “raring to go”. After losing starting running back CHRIS CARSON to injured reserve for a few weeks with a neck injury and fellow runner ALEX COLLINS now battling hip and glute issues, the Seahawks may need Penny’s services. Penny, of course, will have to be officially activated back to the 53-man roster before he can appear in a game. Less

Uh-oh fantasy owners, this doesn’t sound good. Seattle running back CHRIS CARSON is reportedly dealing with a “long-term” neck injury that has his status in doubt for tonight’s game against theMore Los Angeles Rams. Head coach Pete Carroll said on Wednesday that the long-term issue is something that Carson has dealt with, adding that “sometimes it flares up, and sometimes it doesn’t”. Fantasy owners should obviously monitor Carson’s status leading up to the game, but backup ALEX COLLINS could be called upon if Carson can’t play. Less

The Seattle Seahawks added depth to their backfield on Wednesday by re-signing veteran running back ALEX COLLINS to a one-year deal. Factoid: Recycled backs

Jonathan Williams didn’t work out for Buffalo. The Broncos and Saints also had him, with little production. But he’s looking like a viable running back nowadays, going over 100 yards in back to back games. It’s a reminder that sometimes players need some time, and they need to find the right fit.  more »

Around the NFL: Alex Collins

Things change quickly in the NFL. Just a year ago, Alex Collins seemed like an offensive centerpiece for the Ravens, a talented young running back who Seattle foolishly gave up on too soon. Now? After being phased out in Baltimore during the season, he's not only unemployed but facing felony drug and gun charges. Yikes.   more »

Record-setting debut for Jackson

Baltimore rookie quarterback LAMAR JACKSON set records for yards and carries for a Ravens quarterback in his first NFL start on Sunday. Jackson didn't have much success passing the ball, atMore least from a fantasy standpoint, but he did give the offense a spark overall. Ravens add RB Montgomery

In a move likely to frustrate some fantasy owners, former Green Bay running back TY MONTGOMERY is headed to the Baltimore Ravens.
