Sproles seen working out with Drew Brees

Veteran running back DARREN SPROLES is currently a free agent, although he was spotted recently working out with New Orleans quarterback DREW BREES. Sproles, 36, said earlier this month that he wanted to continue playing if the right situation came up.

Eagles place Ajayi on injured reserve

The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Monday that they have placed running back JAY AJAYI on injured reserve. Ajayi reportedly tore his ACL in Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings. With Ajayi out, the Eagles will turn to some combination of DARREN SPROLES, COREY CLEMENT, WENDELL SMALLWOOD, and rookie JOSH ADAMS.
