Next man up in Packers backfield
Green Bay lost rookie running back AARON JONES to a knee injury early in the Packers game against Chicago on Sunday. TY MONTGOMERY filled-in nicely until he re-aggravated a rib injury… More that forced him to leave the game as well. JAMAAL WILLIAMS carried the load in the backfield the rest of the way but fantasy owners will need to check on the status of all three backs leading up to next week’s game against Baltimore. Less

Green Bay running back AARON JONES was the Packers’ fourth-string running back a month ago but started in the backfield on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. With running backs TY MONTGOMERY and JAMAAL WILLIAMS working their way back from injuries, Jones was spectacular against the Cowboys.

Green Bay running back TY MONTGOMERY has been out with a “soft tissue” injury that has allowed rookie JAMAAL WILLIAMS to get some additional practice time. While Montgomery’s injury is not… More considered serious, quarterback AARON RODGERS said that Williams has been “spectacular” in recent practices.
