Bucs sign veteran TE Rudolph

The Tampa Bay Bucs are reportedly signing veteran tight end KYLE RUDOLPH to a one-year deal to help fill the void created when fellow tight end ROB GRONKOWSKI retired. Rudolph turnsMore 33 in November and is coming off a lackluster 2021 season with the New York Giants. Time will tell if he can return to fantasy relevance with TOM BRADY and the Bucs. Less

Around the NFL: Kyle Rudolph

The Bucs are signing Kyle Rudolph to a one-year deal, but I can’t say that I’m excited about him. Is he even going to be their most productive tight end? And will any tight end on that roster finish with viable numbers?  more »

Andy Richardson: Deep Dynasty Adds

Every other Monday -- more frequently if there's stuff going on, less frequently if there isn't -- I plan to run some dynasty content in this space, looking at players who may not necessarily put up big numbers in 2022, but might have long-term value in dynasty leagues. I'll start with a trip though my own dynasty league's waiver wire.   more »

Giants TE Engram out vs. WFT

New York Giants tight end EVAN ENGRAM has been ruled out of tonight's game against the Washington Football Team as he continues to recover from a calf injury. Engram also missedMore the season opener due to the injury. Veteran tight end KYLE RUDOLPH started in place of Engram in the opener, but he was not much of a factor in the game. Your fantasy team likely has better, and healthier, options. Less

Giants RB Barkley, TE Rudolph nearing return

New York Giants running back SAQUON BARKLEY’s rehab schedule may finally ramp up to on-field work against an opponent this week when the team practices against the New England Patriots. Unfortunately for the Giants, wide receiver KENNY GOLLADAY is reportedly a bit further off. The Giants are being cautious as Golladay recovers from a hamstring injury. Less

Factoid: Kyle Rudolph

At this time of year, I mostly play around with numbers. You sort the stats every which way, and see who bubbles to the surface. And I just saw a notable stat that applies to Kyle Rudolph (who was recently released by Minnesota).  more »

Rudolph was the Vikings’ longest tenured player after playing the past 10More seasons in Minnesota. Rudolph had expressed his desire for a change after spending much of 2020 in a blocking role. The Vikings granted Rudolph’s wish, while also saving about $5 million in salary cap space. Less

Around the NFL: Fantasy tight ends

Last year was a down one for the tight end position. Only 11 averaged double-digit fantasy points in PPR scoring, making it difficult to find quality weekly starters in many leagues. But there has been and will be some movement at the position around the league this fall, which should increase the number of viable starters. The Irv Smith-Kyle Rudolph tandem is the latest example.   more »

Factoid: Tight ends

If you’re looking for tight ends who’ve not only caught a lot of balls but have been effective at putting the ball in the end zone, some of the best to ever play the game are playing right now.  more »

Factoid: Kyle Rudolph

I’m not a big Kyle Rudolph fan. He’s a solid enough player (particularly around the goal line) but I just don’t think he’s going to get enough opportunities.  more »
